How To Choose Speakers For Your Car Audio

Most people actually DO care about the sound quality that comes out of their speakers and their speaker system, so if you want to find the best car audio for your car it's best that you try to follow some really simple guidelines to help you out along the way. First off, it's important that when shopping for speakers that you know what quality and voltage they are. If you aren't sure then you need to ask someone from the store because different voltage aspects are going to give out/off different sounds.

Also, if you’re into a lot of gimmickry, it's also important that you take a look at the various options and components for not only your car audio, but your car in general - each piece is ultimately going to personify your style. So look at things like bass (if that's important to you), being able to choose various sounds like classical, rock, country, rap, etc. Also, choose from mobile video options (watch videos in the car!) and neon lighting with is just an after affect. It's all about "show" rather than having any real function to your car besides making it look cool!

Lastly, it's important that you stick to your budget. If you can afford to do so, and find a system that is a little above what your budget is, maybe it's a good idea to spring for it this one time, especially if the speakers are of good quality! A lot of blogs such as ours will have a lot of information about the speakers we have in stock as well as various reviews and information about the products, so you really should be able to find THE perfect set or system for your radio.

Am I Allowed To Have Neon Lighting On My Car?

When it comes to certain things you might place on your car, some states do have laws. For example, in some states you cannot have tinted windows. Whereas in other states you can have tinted windows, such as in Florida, but the tint has to have a certain clarity. While we might think these laws are dumb, they are actually put in to use for a good reason. When it comes to neon lighting you also will need to look up the laws in your specific state. I know in my hometown of Pittsburgh PA, this is illegal.

You can still place them on your car, you simply cannot drive with them on. In this case, neon lighting is mainly for show. I know we have one town called Mt. Washington up at the Look Out, and if you go there at night on a Friday or Saturday you will see ten cars lined up all parked, with their neon lights on! It’s pretty cool to see and to have on your car. Just make sure you follow the laws! Other more conventional items such as car audio and mobile video may also pertain to certain laws in your city or state too.

For instance, for something like mobile video, you may only be allowed to have these screens in the backseat rather than the dashboard. Or with something like car audio, you might not be allowed to raise your volume on your system panel to a certain level. It's always best to just follow the laws where applicable! Dukes of Hazzard Horn? Here are the Best Car Audio Accessories and Products!

If you have a nice car, chances are you want to soup it up as much as you can. What are the basics though? And how much is too much when it comes to car-bling? In my opinion, too much of something is non-existent when it comes to your car. Well, I take that back. If you get a horn that toots the theme from The Dukes of Hazzard - then you have gone TOO far man! Other than that though - you have so many options in front of you, it's crazy to say that there is too much of something.

I mean you can choose from car audio options like XM radio, CD players, DVD players, speaker systems, sub-woofers and amplifiers. Then, you get into visual products and you have GPS and mobile video and blu-ray! You can actually watch TV in your car (but not while you drive…!) You can play video games and watch movies! Ah! You also have cosmetic options too (outside of the car) like racing stripes (major drool-age), neon lighting (all kinds of different colors like red, orange, yellow, green, blue), spoilers, rims, carbon fiber hoods.

Oh great, see what you did! The point is, it doesn't matter what car you have, or what options you want, you can go as crazy as you want to go - in fact I hope you do! Just try to ditch The Dukes of Hazzard idea, okay?!? Even if it's a General Lee replica!

Taking A Road Trip With Your Family? Kids Getting Antsy? Take A Look At this Mobile Video Package!

This is one of the newer options that you can get put in your car - it's an actual "TV" screen. It's not huge by any means, but it can be used into coaxing your kids to stay quiet when you are going on road trips! I have two of these for my boys, they sit in both of the front seats headrests. They both can watch whatever movies or shows they want, and when they get a little older I'm thinking about adding some video game consoles to the seats as well. Should be cool. This doesn't by any means mean you should stick your kids with the TV Nanny.

But if you have a lot of "are we there yet" questions going on every 5 minutes, this can be an awesome way to keep the kids busy. Besides this isn't a "get out of my hair" thing. This is more of a "need to concentrate" thing. Now you can concentrate on the road instead of screaming in the rear view mirror! Even if you don't have kids, you can use car audio options such as mobile video for your car - you can even place one in your dash which would be super cool - just make sure you only "watch it" when it's the proper time!

Once your kids grow up you could also consider adding even more car options to your "cool mobile video" as well. One of the things I always thought looked awesome on a car was the neon lighting under the car!
